Arystocrat and Playtech will delay shareholders' meetings regarding any merger due to the ongoing interest in JKO Play.
Aristocrat initially announced an offer made to Playtech on October 18, 2021, when Aristocrat said the terms of the recommended cash acquisition of Playtech would be £ 6.80 ( 9.21) per Playtech share.
Now, Aristocrat is likely to delay partners' meetings in connection with the January 12, 2022 takeover until February 2, 2022.
This means that JKO Play has gained time and must determine its position by January 26, 2022. The Board has decided to postpone the deadline to allow more time for a possible counteroffer from JKO Play Ltd, a consortium led by former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan and Keith O'Loughlin, former director of the Scientific Games.
Þangað til mun JKO leggja fram áætlanir sínar um að bjóða í Playtech (samkvæmt reglu 2.7 í breska yfirtökureglunum) eða staðfesta að það ætli ekki að bjóða í Playtech.
Aristocrat suggests that other potential bidders have already used a significant amount of time to submit another bid to Playtech, arguing that the decision to further delay relevant shareholders' meetings only adds to the period of uncertainty for Playtech shareholders.
